5Worth It!
By bobw
If you're looking for convenience, space saver, and a quality built inflatable, you can't go wrong with Advanced Elements' inflatable kayak. Since I go out every weekend, the inflatable stays inside the van. No need to store it in the garage. Inflation takes a few minutes, and you're good to go. The metal rod braises on both ends of the kayak does make a difference as far as stiffening the front and rear. It actually helps the kayak track good enough in comparison to other inflatables that sway side to side. However, the material of the body creates some drag, so it's not as fast as a hard shell kayak. In addition, as already mentioned by other reviewers, it's not a good idea to store it while it's still wet. Within a few days, the leftover moisture will leave a moldy odor. Dry it good in order to avoid the problem. Other than that, the inflatable kayak is worth it!

3Nice, though could be better with small changes
By Dan Kruse
Just like my last boat (Sevylor Colorado) - just a few simple changes and this could be the perfect boat. I literally wore my Colorado out and always thought it was the perfect boat except for a couple small things (took forever to dry and had cheap pinch valves in some places that should have been boston valves). The AE straight edge is very similar in that it also takes forever to dry, and this could have been easily remedied, but they just left too many things unsealed - too many places for water to hide (under the main floor chamber, under the bow and stern). I thought because this didn't have much nylon material to catch the water that this would dry in seconds, but boy was I wrong. Water just keeps appearing like magic days later. It does track well and is very stable - the lumbar seat is very comfortable. Spring valves are great (not sure why floor is boston, but sure beats a pinch valve). I would rate much higher if it weren't for the annoying drying issues.

4Very versatile kayak but needs improvement.
By John C.
I recently used my Advanced Elements fishing kayak on a trip to the high sierras of California. It worked great for me even paddling into the wind.I found that the rod holder assesory bar was too far forward to reach.also the air valve for the floor bladder is diferent from all the others and has a tendency to leak if special care is not taken when closing valve as the cap lanyard tangles in the threads as you tighten it.All in all this is a very stable and easy to use kayak.
