After talking about the advantages of the full-time Forex trading I’ve felt that it wasn’t fair without listing the disadvantages of such an approach to the foreign exchange market. Only few of the active Forex traders switch to the full-time trading and there are several good reasons for that:

  1. It takes time. If you are a successful Forex trader you probably want to spend more time with family or for yourself personally. You earn enough for that but if you trade full-time you won’t have more time than an average non-trader. After all, Forex is good because it can offer a financial freedom, which should lead to more free time, and a full-time Forex trading approach just ruins that.
  2. Overtrading. Following the market all day is a straight way to overtrading, which in its turn is a bane of many currency traders. Only emotionally strong and experienced traders will be able to avoid constant overtrading when sitting in front of the Forex trading terminal for all day.
  3. Having to trade short-term. If you trade full-time you have to constantly search for the trading opportunities. The long-term trading opportunities aren’t that frequent in Forex and you’ll have to either take the short-term ones too or be bored with a simple monitoring of the market. Both choices are unacceptable for the long-term Forex trader.
  4. Dependence on Forex profit. If you trade Forex full-time the chances are that you don’t have any other source of income. This means that if you enter a series of losses you won’t be earning money and you might even lose your initial deposit. If you have a daily job and trade Forex only occasionally you don’t depend on Forex earnings too much. So, if you plan to go full-time you better be sure that you’ll have enough money for living and upholding the necessary account balance even after several huge losses.
  5. Focusing on unnecessary things. As it often happens when you have a huge inflow of information, you’ll get a lot of unnecessary data, which will mislead you. If you trade Forex all day, you’ll be trying to find the opportunities in the chart formations and fundamental events that don’t have anything important in them. It’s not overtrading because you’ll soon understand that these opportunities don’t let you trade on them, but it’s still a waste of time, your time, which is precious.

This list says my second and the last word about the full-time Forex trading. Although the number of disadvantages is less than the number of the respective advantages, it’s all about the importance of each of them for the particular trader. It’s up to you to decide whether the full-time trading is for you.

If you have some interesting thoughts or questions regarding the listed disadvantages of the full-time Forex trading, please, feel free to share them using the commentary form.

Price action is a type of technical Forex trading that is based on the bare prices and charts instead of the usual indicators. Traders that employ various price action trading techniques believe that bare prices and charts can tell us everything we need and that indicators, while being helpful for calculating some statistical dependencies, create a time lag that can be critical in Forex. In fact, all indicators and any other methods are based on the data that is a part of a price action. So, price action is just a broad definition for the rather raw technical market data. The four techniques that are presented here aren’t the full set of price action trading instruments; they are just the most popular and interesting ones.

Tape Reading. The term refers to the times when the stock quotes came to the trading houses (more like the modern betting firms) in a form of a tape telegram. Traders analyzed the changes in the quotes, their speed and volume and, basing on this analysis, issued their trade orders. Modern tape reading in Forex is somewhat different — you just analyze the quote as it’s displayed in your broker’s terminal and then trade using your analysis of the data. It’s the most basic way of trading and some new traders start from it without knowing how is it called. Tape reading is mostly suitable for scalping and can’t be used for the long-term entries.

Japanese Candlestick Patterns. Many different patterns, formed by the Japanese candles, are recognized by the Forex traders. Such patterns are usually quite small (they consist of 1 to 4 candles) and can be spotted on all timeframes. Japanese candlestick patterns aren’t too reliable but the abundance of symbols compensates the low winning rate. This type of trading is a part of price action but it requires some basic chart analysis.

Chart Patterns. Patterns formed by the price fluctuations of the chart are numerous — triangles, wedges, double-tops, double-bottoms, head-and-shoulders and many others are all part of this trading technique. Opposite to the Japanese candlestick patterns these patterns are usually formed by many chart bars and often serve only for the long-term market evaluation. Chart patterns sometimes have a strong fundamental basement and are thus valued by the professional traders and the Forex market tends to «follow» them simply due to their popularity.

Point-and-Figure Charts. This type is a bit more difficult than everything else in the price action domain. It’s also arguable that point-and-figure can be considered a price action technique at all. P&F charts are built based on the price changes, independently on time. The columns of X’s are formed when the price is rising, while the columns of O’s are formed during falling trends. The columns of X’s and O’s follow each after another. A price should pass a certain amount to form an O or X or reverse in an opposite direction for a significantly higher amount to start forming a new column. Trends can be easily read in such charts and many Forex traders use the strategy to buy and sell exactly at the new column’s start to catch the new trend.

Not all traders can use price action techniques successfully, the same as not everyone can trade with the indicators profitably. Price action can be used alone but it also can be interesting for other methods’ confirmation. With price action techniques you can always scale in and out and flexibly change your strategies as well.

Since the recent yen cross meltdown started I've been trying to keep from getting caught on the wrong side of any massive downward moves. As I generally trade only the AUDJPY, mostly on the long side, things have been pretty quiet! However, we are now facing some resistance at 74.50 on the 1hr -- which should be illustrative. We have done what might be a triple bounce off of support in the

I've become a little frustrated with most of news sources out there. If you've been an active forex trader for any length of time you'll notice that talking heads are always trying to tell you why something happened. That's really nice, and might possibly help you learn about various financial interactions, but it's absolutely useless from a trading point of view. If you are trading you need to
In short, there isn’t any. Not like the Forex trading is completely unregulated, but there isn’t such thing a SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) for the Forex market. There is no central location and the company that would own the market (like NYSE Euronext owns New York Stock Exchange). Decentralization of the modern foreign exchange market is its greatest advantage and one of its biggest problems. And while the market itself remains unregulated the market participants are, in fact, regulated by various authorities, depending on the country where the given participant resides or does his business.

NFA (National Futures Association) and CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) are obligatory regulating organizations for the Forex brokers that are based in United States or want to legally deal with the U.S. residents. While spot Forex trading has nothing to do with the futures or commodities, these organizations set the rules for how the retail Forex market should work in United States. Some of the rules protect the traders (e.g. by setting high own capital requirements for the brokers) and some just make traders’ life harder (e.g. the tons of documentations required to register with a broker and the latest no-hedging rule). Anyway, traders (even those from U.S.) still have the option not to trade with the NFA-registered brokers, so, there’s nothing bad in having such institutions as NFA or CFTC.

FSA (Financial Service Authority) regulates the Forex brokers that are based in U.K. or are dealing with the British traders. The  U. K. regulation is much lighter than the one in U.S., so traders usually find no difference when they are dealing with the FSA-registered broker. If you want a regulated U.K. broker, just look if it’s registered with FSA. But don’t expect it to be much more reliable than the unregulated brokers.

SFBC (Swiss Federal Banking Commission) requires all Forex brokers that are based in Switzerland to obtain the real Swiss banking license and thus become a regulated banking institution. That’s a good thing for those traders that are registered with the Forex brokers that got such license, because Swiss banking regulation is one of the best in the world and those institutions that fulfill all the requirements can be certainly considered reliable. On the other hand, obtaining such a license is a long and expensive way; this fact is making some of the Forex brokers to move out of Switzerland.

Some Forex brokers are regulated by the European and other banking laws as they are registered as the banking institutions in the respective countries. Such brokers can be considered the most reliable ones, but for the common retail trader dealing with them isn’t easy as they usually require high minimum account deposit and a lot of paperwork.

The majority of other regulatory bodies provides almost no strict requirements for the Forex brokers and is plainly nominal. If you see a broker registered on Seychelles or British Virgin Islands, or some other «offshore zone» it doesn’t mean that it’s thoroughly checked and audited. Of course, it doesn’t also mean that it’s a scam broker. Some Forex brokers prefer to stay offshore for a lot of advantages and some traders prefer those brokers for their own reasons. When you choose your broker, be sure to select the one with the appropriate type of regulation that fully fits your trading needs.

If you have your own opinion or questions on Forex market regulation, feel free to leave it in a comment to this post.

Forex trading may become a much easier activity if you follow your own or someone else’s well-formulated guidelines. I’ve based my guidelines on my past Forex trading experience and knowledge gained listening to some of the best stock and Forex traders. What’s important is that the guidelines are not the laws and rules — they are not the only way to success, they just help the traders in their endeavor. Here’s the list of my four Forex trading guidelines:
  • Risk only 3% of the total trading capital with each trade. Generally it’s quite hard to come up with the comfortable risk percentage value for your trades if you want to keep a good money management and still let your funds grow at a nice rate. For me 3% is the optimal level — safe enough to save and high enough to gain.
  • Reward-to-risk ratio should be no lower than 1. Many currency traders prefer trading with the ratio not less than 2 or even higher. That’s a problem of risk/gain balance too. For me the opportunities with the ratio above 2 are very rare — maybe, because I prefer high accuracy trades. If your accuracy rate is far from 90% than sticking to reward-to-risk ratio of 2 would probably be a better decision.
  • Don’t leave the positions open through the weekend. The weekly opening gap can be a killer. Don’t underestimate it. As a swing trader, I prefer to open my positions in the beginning of the week and I always close them before trading ends on Friday. The gap in the price rates that usually occurs after a weekend can make your stop-loss trigger far from the levels you planned it to.
  • Wait before opening a new order after you’ve just traded. If you jump into another position right after you closed or opened a previous order is a straight road to overtrading and an empty balance. I always wait some time analyzing opportunities and resting from the Forex market before setting up my next order. Maybe, for the extreme scalpers this isn’t a best decision, but for the absolute majority of the medium-term Forex traders it is.

The interest rates, set by the world’s central banks, are widely used in the Forex trading. Their changes are monitored by the traders and investors because the interest rates determine the fundamental value of the currencies. It’s important for every Forex trader to understand the impact of the interest rates on the currencies he trades on. It’s easy to find the interest rate table to know their latest values, but how to interpret them?

In general, the higher the interest rate associated with the currency is, the better it’s for that currency. Higher interest rates attract investors, because they offer a higher yield. Forex traders prefer buying high-interest currencies versus the low-interest ones to gain the difference yield (such trading technique is called carry trade).

On the other hand, the lower interest rates are usually more popular among the traders when the global volatility rises and the world’s financial system experiences problems. The current financial crisis shows that the currencies with the lower yield are the favorites, because they are less risky than he high-yielding ones.

So what to do and how to react on the interest rates? The volatility index (VIX) is a good tool to measure the global interest rates preference. If it’s below the «normal» level of 30%, the high interest rates act as the attractors and the currencies that have high yield grow. If the index jumps up above that level, the traders prefer to move into the less risky assets and the low interest rate currencies gain.

Keeping everything simple is a nice strategy in almost all types of activities. Sometimes, simplicity is the only way to become profitable in the Forex trading. Of course, not everyone likes to keep everything simple and not everyone should do that. But simplifying some basic aspects of the Forex trading will help you to avoid unnecessary problems and complications:
  1. Simple trading strategy can be as profitable as some really complex systems. By keeping your strategy simple you make it easier to follow and execute it. Adding complexity in the future can be your next level, but trading with a simple strategy is a very good way to start trading on Forex for real.
  2. Try to follow a simple money management system — trading with a fixed percentage of your account equity is easy and effective. Martingale system isn’t simple and leads to losses. So, with money management simple is almost always good.
  3. Fundamental analysis is a nice tool, but it’s better to avoid reacting on all fundamental news you hear. Keep it simple — select only really important releases or indicators and monitor them when you trade.
  4. One of the best ways to simplify your Forex trading is to hold the open positions for a fixed amount of time. This way, your positions are limited not only with the stop-loss and take-profit levels, but also with the time limit. I prefer limiting them to 30, 60, 360 minutes and 1 week periods, depending on the particular strategy.
  5. Try not to trade on currency pairs with the base currency different from the one, in which your account is founded. For example, if you trade USD/JPY, while your account is founded in USD, your profit or loss can’t be adequately measured, because it inversely depends on the USD/JPY rate.
  6. Look for a Forex broker with the fixed spreads, because trading with the variable spreads can’t be easy. You can’t rely on your strategy, especially if it’s a short-term strategy, if you don’t know the spreads values for sure.
Some traders adore simple approaches to the market, while others hate everything that’s easily understood by high-school graduate and prefer complexity. If you think that you are the one from the first group, then this list will probably help you. If you know some other ways to simplify Forex trading, please, leave a comment to this post.

Knowing your trader’s personality is very important if you want to maintain a healthy, pleasant and, most importantly, profitable lifestyle while working on Forex. People are different and what’s good for one can be bad for other. Some trading methods and techniques will work for the certain kind of traders, but they will fail when you try to use them.

The most notable difference between various trading styles is the frequency of trading. Traders that like action and often «want to do something» perform better when they open several positions per day. Those who don’t like the chaos of the daily trading and like to think a lot before doing something will enjoy the profit from a scarcer trading. There are 4 distinct types of the trader’s personalities by the trading frequency:
  1. Position trader — mostly fundamental analysis driven positions that are opened very rarely — only few per month, often just about 10-20 positions per year. This style doesn’t require constant market monitoring and is recommended for the busy people.
  2. Swing trader — trades more often than the position trader, holding his orders open for the days and weeks. Targets and stops are lower than those with the position trading, but there are many trades per year. This is not a day trading, but it’s neither a long-term trading.
  3. Day trader — one of the most popular types of traders. They trade every day, opening several positions and holding them for a few hours to a day. This style requires a lot of market monitoring and will probably fit only full-time Forex traders.
  4. Scalper — this is the most risky and dangerous trading style. Scalping involves holding a position open just for a few seconds or minutes to gain the small profit from each position. There are dozens of trades each day with the scalping. Almost all brokers prohibit scalping. Another problem with scalping is that the major part of the scalper’s profit is eaten by the broker’s spread.
There some other parameters that can be different for various traders, but the main trading style is the basic difference and the trader that is good with the position trading shouldn’t go for the day trading to remain successful. Try to find out your style as soon as possible and stick with it.

No matter how good your Forex trading strategy is, you will lose some of your positions. There is no such thing as a 100% sure win in trading, so eventually you’ll encounter some loss. This is where the money management kicks in and helps you to limit your drawdowns in order to save your trading account from the complete wipe-out.

The problem with the drawdowns is that if you lose 10% of your account you need to recover 11% of what remains to return to the breakeven point. Losing 20% will require 25% gain over the remaining balance to recover. As you see, if you trade with the percentage risks, recovering from losses is much harder if you lose more. Trading with a little risk ratio is a good idea to prevent such problem from occurring. If you trade long enough you’ll encounter the streaks of losing trades — with 10 losing positions in a row and 10% risk ratio you’ll lose more than 60% of your initial balance. But if you trade risking only 3% of your current balance you’ll end up with 26.3% total loss. You don’t need to be a genius to see that it’s a lot easier to recover after the 26% loss than from 60% loss.

Of course, trading with small amounts of your account doesn’t look very promising, because you decrease your potential profit. But believe me, if you somehow lose 70% of your account — and that’s not a hard thing to do if you risk a big part of your capital with each trade — you’ll have to more than double your leftovers to reach the breakeven point. Remember, that all professional Forex traders (and even professional poker players) always risk only a small fraction of their capital with each trade.

Technical analysis is the powerful tool to forecast the price action in Forex market. It’s more popular than fundamental analysis in currency trading and is used both by beginning traders and experienced professionals equally. But is it that cool and omnipotent? There some situation when good old technical analysis can ruin your trading.

News of high importance. When very important news are released with the unexpected outcome that greatly exceeds any forecasts, even the most certain technical patterns get ruined. It’s a real trading suicide to rely on technical analysis in the chaos that rules after such releases. Disaster/terrorism news also tend to affect Forex market in a similar way.

Holidays market. Trading during big holidays (such as New Year and Christmas) isn’t advisable at all. Technical analysis fails there because the volume of trading is extremely low and the market becomes highly unbalanced with large spike movements possible in each direction. Big speculators can forge the market to their own liking during such periods.

Bubble rallies and bursts. When some market gets a hype, it’s hardly obeying common rules of technical analysis. In Forex when some currency goes up like a bubble (recent carry trade hype is a good example) another currency from the pair goes down at the same extent. Trading on sharp rallies can be very profitable, but don’t expect your support and resistance levels to work there.

Remember the situations when playing by technical analysis is dangerous and you’ll be able to apply it only in a friendly environment, where your strategy won’t be hurt by any «force majeure». In Forex technical analysis can be your best friend, so don’t let some circumstances turn it in your worst enemy.

Trading on the Forex news is a popular strategy that is generally adopted among both professional and barely experienced traders. Apart from the standard high volatility accompanying important economic releases, Forex traders try to earn by predicting the outcome of the news, successfully forecasting the market’s reaction. However there are three important points every news trader should know before reacting on the Forex news:
  1. Generally it’s a good idea to set the entry orders before the actual news release. Use stop and limit orders to make the entry to trigger automatically and at the desired levels even on a very volatile market.
  2. Setting stop and limit orders for entry is a good way to automate the news trading, but it’s also a good idea to stay near your trading platform during the news release. Sometimes the market demands your personal reaction and your own understanding of the current situation to bring you profits and save you from losses.
  3. You should know beforehand if your broker allows news trading. Many Forex brokers forbid trading during the news of the high importance to the Forex market. They can do it either via their terms of service or via some technical obstacles. Some brokers widen their spreads to extreme values during the news, while the others just stop reacting to the trader’s orders. Don’t even try earning from the news trading if your broker doesn’t allow it.
Don’t be scared to trade on the Forex news. It’s a good tactic for every kind of trader and will work on the most Forex brokers. Just try to avoid the common mistakes associated with this trading strategy.

Any investor would be genuinely attracted by the Forex market due to its superiority over other financial markets. Some obvious attractions are the superior liquidity, better execution, 24 hours market and lots more. For details on the superiority of forex over other financial markets, you would love the "Why Forex?" article.

Making money in the Forex market might appear a cake walk to outsiders.

Does this mean that it is easy as pie to make money on the Forex market? Absolutely not! Since we now know that it is not as easy as it seems to make money on the Forex market, why do some traders succeed while others fail? That is not an easy question to answer. Something does set apart the profitable traders. They do not follow the crowd. These traders think independently from the crowd. How long does it take to see consistent profitable results in the Forex market? This, too, is not an easy question to answer. It varies from person to person. One thing is for sure - this cannot be done in a short time frame. It is a process that could take years to see desired profits.

Here are a few things to consider if you decide to trade in the Forex market that may hasten the process of realizing a profit: have a trading system in place, education, use money management, be aware of psychological issues and have the proper discipline to follow your trading system as well as your trading plan. Benefits of Online Forex Trading Thanks to the Internet being available to almost everyone, the Forex market may be accessed with ease. Computers are now able to make complex charts that are very beneficial when you go to trade in the Forex market. Forex traders can do business 24 hours a day no matter what their geographical location may be. Daily transactions in the Forex market have increased to two trillion USD. It is quite easy to open a forex trading account. There are even free practice accounts that can be set up which allow you to test your skills before you make any transactions with real money. Traders can trade with different currencies in different markets at the same time and not have a problem doing it.

Online forex trading touts a lot of liquidity and flexibility. The trader can trade and access quotes in real time when he deals with online forex transactions. A very important benefit is that forex trading has virtually eliminated the bears and bulls of the trade. This is the only trade market that does not have these elements. There are no commissions, exchange fees or any other hidden costs involved with online forex trading. The trade is done very quickly and there is no delay of any kind. It literally takes just seconds to execute a trade or fill or confirm the same. Small traders have more leverage in the Forex market. There are indeed many benefits to online forex trading, but you also have to look at the other side of the coin. Online forex trading is risky. You should not invest any more money than you are willing to lose. Remember, it takes education, patience and practice to become good at forex trading.

Hey guys,

Its article time again. Worked on this for a while.

I compiled the most frequently asked questions with regard to the Forex market. Here it is. feel free to put it on your blog or site but just make sure you mention where you got it from.

MOST FAQ about the FOREX MARKET

With over $1.4 Trillion traded daily, the Forex market stands out as the largest financial market in the world currently. Still, it is an unfamiliar territory to many common people and amateur investors. If you are a fresher or a pro and would like to refresh your knowledge on the Forex market, you are on the right page. In this article, I will cover the most commonly asked questions related to the Forex market. For free ebooks and guides on getting started with Forex trading, Go here! And also check on the same site, the article “Why Forex?” (Its in the blog archive and gives you some awesome reasons why you really must invest in the forex market) And to enlighten yourself on the FAQ regarding the Forex market, please continue reading this article.

How does this market differ from other markets?
It differs from other markets like stock market in the simple fact that its not regulated by a central governing body. There exists no clearinghouses to guarantee the trades and there is also no arbitration panel to resolve and decide upon disputes. Credit agreements are what the trading is based on. So, truthfully speaking, business in the largest liquid market depends simply on a metaphorical handshake.

This might seem out of the world or plain weird to investors used to structured exchanges like the NYSE or CME. But this arrangement actually works out pretty well in practice as investors and brokers must compete and co-operate with each other at the same time.

The FX market is so different from other markets in some ways that are sure to raise eyebrows. If you feel that the EUR/USD is going to spiral downwards in near future? Feel free to short the pair at will( Selling short is the opposite of going long. That is, short sellers make money if the stock goes down in price. This is an advanced trading strategy with many unique risks and pitfalls. Novice investors are advised to avoid short sales.)

There is no limit to the size of the position you can gain. Theoretically speaking, you could sell $100 million of currency if you had the capital to do so. If you could some how manage to gain information on the immediate future of a particular currency, you could well be a millionaire in no time. The Fact is European economic data, such as German employment figures, are often leaked days before they are officially released.

Before we leave you with the wrong impression that Forex or Foreign exchange is the Wild West of finance, we must also note that this is the most liquid market in the world. Forex is a 24 Hours trading opportunity. It’s not going be like you wait for the Forex shop down the street to open. As a Forex Trader, you get the opportunity to trade 24 hours from Sunday 5:00 pm (ET) to Friday 4:30 pm.

This means you can do trading upon your convenience and based on your schedule. It also provides you the opportunity to act immediately upon golden breaking news from the market.

Where is the commission in FX?

Investors in stock market, futures or options generally use a broker who acts as an agent in the subsequent transactions. The broker does an exchange based on the investor’s instructions. For this, he gets paid a commission.

However, the Forex market doesn’t have commissions. It is a principals only market.
Forex firms are dealers, and not brokers. This is a very critical distinction that all investors must understand. Commission is not charged by them. They make their profits through the bid-ask spread (The amount by which the ask price exceeds the bid. This is essentially the difference in price between the highest price that a buyer is willing to pay for an asset and the lowest price for which a seller is willing to sell it. For example, if the bid price is $20 and the ask price is $21 then the "bid-ask spread" is $1.

What is a pip?

Pip is an abbreviation used for “Percentage in Profit” It is the smallest increment of trade in the Forex market. In the Forex market, prices are stated to the fourth decimal point. For eg: a Cadbury bar that costed $2.70 in your nearby supermarket will be quoted as $2.7000 in the Forex market. A change in the fourth decimal of that will be a pip.

We can simply put it that it is 1/100th of 1% or 0.0001 %

What are you really selling or buying in the currency market?
Simply “NOTHING”. The Foreign exchange or Forex market is merely a speculative market. There is no physical exchanging of currencies there. All the trades are present as computer entries and netted out based on the market prices.

For accounts that are denominated in dollars, all the profits and losses would be calculated in dollars and recorded on the traders account in dollars.

Which currencies are traded?

Some mind blowing and exotic options would be the Thai bath or the Czech koruna , but the majority of trading in the Forex market is based on the seven most liquid currency pairs.

They are

  • EUR/USD (euro/dollar)
  • USD/JPY (dollar/Japanese yen)
  • GBP/USD (British pound/dollar)
  • USD/CHF (dollar/Swiss franc)

and the three commodity pairs:

  • AUD/USD (Australian dollar/dollar)
  • USD/CAD (dollar/Canadian dollar)
  • NZD/USD (New Zealand dollar/dollar)

These currency pairs, along with their various combinations (such as EUR/JPY, GBP/JPY and EUR/GBP) account for more than 95% of all speculative trading in the Forex market..

FX Jargon

Every field possesses its own jargon and the Forex market is no different as such.

Forex scalping is “the word” these days! It offers to give you handsome profits with out much of a risk. So lets get started in this article. We are going to cover the facts related to forex scalping for beginners.

Forex Scalping works this way. You look to make a neat profit by making small regular trading within a set time frame. I would put it in a more simple way. You make very small trades, therefore risking a small amount of money ( Of course when you profit as well, you a gain a small amount). You make plenty of such small transactions within a day. So you actually hope that little drops of water will make a mighty ocean. The fact of the matter is that it has never worked and never will.

Why?

Because Forex scalping is simply based on an incorrect belief or logic or whatever you want to call it. Infact, I am going to show you in the article why forex scalping can be the easiest way to lose your money in forex trading. Read on!!

Let us first take a look at the market and how they move.

We have approximately Trillions of dollars traded in the market daily by millions of traders. So, it will be ridiculous for us to assume that we can predict what this vast mass of traders will do in a short period of time

Let me direct you towards a Fact:

“All short-term volatility is random.”

That means?

Yes, that means prices can go up and down ( up or down? No one can predict). Infact , Neither Support and resistance levels are valid nor any of the technical indicators you have. All will fail in this random environment.

“I have seen successful track records though!”

Sure you have – and they are sold by vendors with a vested interest.

There are loads of them and they are all designed to bring forex scalping to beginners - for a few hundred bucks you get rich, Ha Ha ! that’s Laughable to me!

Please Consider a reality check!

These vendors make the much promising forex scalping systems. Hey , why don’t you guys do forex scalping instead of making these systems. They know it wont work. Hence, lure the unsuspecting ones in to forex scalping

What will be shown to you by them are amazing track records with neat profits with draw downs being a rarity and almost non-existent. A little of your common sense coming in to play will tell you that its too good to be true. And when you get an intuition like that, it probably is “TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE”

Many traders fall in the scheme, lose big time and still wonder “WHY?” or worse “WHY ME”

Take a closer look at the forex scaling track records, you will see the words “hindsight” or “simulation” written all over the track record as a disclaimer.

What does this imply?

That the track record is done in hindsight and simulated, knowing the closing prices!

How hard is that?

Any eight year old kid could do that and so could anyone who can read and write and you can to – My friends, these track records are useless and not even worth the paper they are written on.

Of course , you can try looking for an authentic track record. Take my word that it will take you a long time. I never found one in my life. SO if you do come across one, sure let me know.

The fact is forex scalping for beginners takes advantage of innocent and gullible investors who think making a profit is that easy and they don’t stop to think how authentic these systems are or what logic is in scalping?

If You Want to Win

You need to have odds in your favour. That simply means that you need to trade within longer time frames. That rules forex scalping out

If you are just a beginner at forex trading and looking to make a plunge in the forex market, Make a detailed study on the market. Follow the market for few months before investing your hard money in it. You can find some great ebooks here to get you started.

Do avoid the scheming companies wanting you to try forex scalping for the much-promised handsome profits, which will never materialize and do visit my blog for more articles and updates.

25 RULES OF FOREX TRADING DISCIPLINE: by Douglas E. Zalesky

9 Okt 2007

Many people are already starting to pay attention to the newest online trend: E-gold investing.

E-gold investing is a all about a system that allows you to profit from the money that is being traded everyday on the internet. What you're doing when you are trading e-gold (or e-currencies) is that you are providing the backup for internet money. Let me go back a bit. What exactly do I mean by "backup for internet money"?

There is a cashflow of all of the money that is being moved throughout the internet every day. However, this money has to have, for every dollar that is being backed up, a physical backup of that dollar must exist.

This is a very superficial explanation about how the dxgold system works, but to be honest, to profit from it, you don't have to understand exactly how it works to profit from it. If I were to put the e-gold training courses into a metaphor I would say it's very much like driving a car. You don't need to know how it works in order to use it properly.

What you do need to know is the egold exchange process and every step of the way. This may sound complex, but once you get to know it, it becomes a daily routine that takes about five minutes just to check up on.

Investing in e-gold is something that I could describe as a great investing strategy, if you are investing in the long run.

It isn't as fast as a rising stock in wall street, it isn't something that will double your profits in a couple of days, but it is something you can expect to generate a good income from. And the important keyword in that past sentence would be to Expect, because this is a safe long term strategy that is guaranteed to make a profit for you.

This is why I personally think it is plain silly not to learn this currency trading system. You even know how much money you will make each day in advance.

For some it may be tough, but saving a couple of hundred dollars and investing in e-gold can be a very wise decision. As many people have experienced already, it can even turn into a "hands off" second income without the 8 to 5 job.

E-gold is all about discipline. Is about the discipline of having your money work for you and letting it grow, without getting an urge of a shopping spree and taking your money out of your account.

If you think you can wait for a few months and are interested in getting a second income, then the e-gold system could be a good fit for you.
